Please Talk Puppies maynooth 02/10/2014 : Maynooth  SU will play host to a very special mental health event staged by Please Talk designed to give students the opportunity to take some time and space for their own mental health. The Please Talk Puppy Room will open its doors for quality puppy time tomorrow at 11am on the first floor, on a first come first serve basis.

Welfare officer Siona Cahill is the person to thank for brightening up college life with these moments of cuteness, commenting that “Pets bring such comfort to people, especially those who are living away from home for the first time and perhaps feeling a bit lonely”.

This event coincides with an on-campus drive to recruit students to become founders of a Please Talk hub here in Maynooth where you can design and launch engaging campaign and events on the theme of mental health and bring the Please Talk message to the college community.

Please Talk is a student-led social movement based around the message that talking is a sign of strength. Please Talk’s goal is to empower students to talk about their mental health  and connect those in need to on-campus supports.

Get in touch with [email protected] if you would like to hear more about the campaign or about the new hub on campus.
