Support Services in GCD

The Students’ Union

A place for help.

The Students’ Union is there to help students with whatever problems they may be having, great or small, while at college. We also represent students’ interests at the highest decision making committees in the college, and to the outside world. We provide a range of services and supports for students and encourage you to drop by for any reason: if you’re worried about your finances, your health or your studies, we’ve all been there, so we’d be delighted to try to help.

The Students’ Union, located in the Meagher Building, is there for supporting students in Griffith College. The four executive officers are there to help you, so contact them if you have queries about any aspect of life at Griffith College.

Griffith College Students’ Union is the representative body for students within the College. As the largest independent College in Ireland, its primary role is to represent its members views and defend their interests both internal and external to the college. All students are actively encouraged to become involved in the Students’ Union so that they can directly influence and assist the Students’ Union during the year. The SU provides advice on welfare, health, accommodation, financial and academic matters in an effort to help students adjust to college life.
