To help acknowledge and celebrate International  Human Rights Day some diligent students helped in preparing some fantastic events for their fellow students.

• We had guest speaker Dr Declan Fahie from UCD who gave an insightful talk about ‘LBGT issues in Education’.
• The debating society held a debate using the motion  ‘That this house would not give aid to countries with poor Human Rights records’.
• Students also got an opportunity to register to vote, with a Garda community liaison officer present to assist students in completing their forms.
